A guy standing beside his car talking to another guy that was in the middle of the road. The middle-of-the-road guy glared at me when I passed them.

Introduction

So, this originally started out as a tongue-in-cheek look at the world of blogging - it seems that you can blog about anything these days. I was planning to be humorous and completely self-aware in my blog posts - I'm posting information that no one cares about and I want to see if people will actually read it.

But, I got to thinking while I was writing the first post that we each drive past hundreds if not thousands of people every day. We interact with these people for a small period of time ranging from micro-seconds to minutes. After our interaction is complete, each of these people go on about their day. They have families, jobs, histories, relationships, baggage, etc... all of which come together to make them who they are (combined with their DNA of course, don't want to leave out the "nature" crowd).

Not only that, but each of these people are also made in the image and likeness of God. This is amazing and should affect the manner in which I treat everyone I interact with. Even more amazing is that God knows all of them intimately - I have to stop and think to remember birthdays and anniversaries.

So I started wondering - how would I interact differently if I remembered all these things every time I interact with someone - even if they are in their car? Would I be more likely to let them merge and not to scream obscenities when they don't let me? How would I react to someone stopped on the side of the road? Or someone walking down the road in the rain? It'll be interesting to see...
